Charterhouse Middle East is working with a leading industrial Qatari group who is looking to hire a Treasury & Accounting Manager.
About the role
Joining a well-defined finance department and reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is being designed to develop a treasury strategy and policy roll out to manage all areas of cash management, banking & funding and liquidity to support areas of capital management and deployment of OPEX & CAPEX. In conjunction, this role shall also extend to the oversight of the budgeting process and the provision of IFRS compliant financial accounting and reporting procedures. This role will focus also on the finalisation of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly and year-end basis, whilst also introducing strong receivable management. On top of this, the role will require the management of any banking relationships, in particular linked to areas of trade finance and the provision of letters of credit and other funding options.
The successful candidate should be a professionally qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA) with a demonstrable track record across both areas of accounting and treasury management. Our client is keen to source a candidate who has exposure or training from within a Big Four practice. The nature of this organisation will require not only a technically astute candidate but also someone with a strong commercial gravitas and an ability to manage senior reporting lines with clarity & transparency. Candidates should also be able to prove a management capability and career achievements from within a Qatari-based business or entity.
