Charterhouse Middle East is currently managing a search mandate for one of our international clients within the Oil & Gas services sector. Our client is looking to hire a Finance Manager who will take ownership of all the financial accounting oversight along with the implementation of strong financial & management-based reporting tools to introduce a strong analytical and planning focused capability to the accounting & finance discipline.
About the role
The functional responsibility shall also extend to the development of strong, IFRS based, financial statements to ensure accurate & timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closure. This undertaking shall be mirrored with the task of an accounting review and “clean-up” to ensure strong transactional process, charts of accounts and general ledgers. In conjunction, this role shall oversee a team of staff who are undertaking statutory accounting and Tax based filings. This oversight will require strong regulatory knowledge and understanding of local compliance. Functionally, this role shall be focussed on the consolidation of financial statements & results whilst also assessing ways to refine and develop the budgeting & costing processes to allow a robust MIS capability across the business.
The successful candidate should be an experienced financial professional, who can demonstrate at least 10 years of exposure within a corporate finance & reporting based role, within a multi-entity organisation. You should possess strong financial accounting execution within a structure of reporting deadlines and accounts finalization. Coupled with these technical capabilities, you shall be expected to manage senior reporting lines, both internally and externally, to the organisation. This role will also play a pivotal part with the external auditors, financial institutions and any regulatory authority whilst reporting internally across international jurisdictions. The nature of the organisation means that the client will look to identify candidates from within the Oil & Gas or engineering sectors with exposure to project-based operations along with a professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA).
