Charterhouse is excited to be working in partnership with an international freight forwarding company who is looking to hire a driven and commercially astute Business Development Manager currently based in Qatar. The is an amazing opportunity where you will act as a brand ambassador continuing to grow the business through new and existing clientele in line with the company’s commercial and financial objectives.
About the role
This is a KPI driven role where you will be responsible for driving business growth to achieve and exceed the agreed sales budget, as well as establishing strategies for gaining new business and implementing the plan to obtain maximum results. You will help support and implement strategic plans, develop preferred relationships with vendors, supervise load-outs, responsible for budgeting and monthly reporting, develop KPIs to evaluate processes on a regular basis and develop well written and detailed project plans and business proposals. You will also identify and provide insight on developing new business segments.
To be considered for this role the successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years in the freight forwarding industry with at least 5 years in B2B sales and marketing and business development handling project cargoes. You will have experience in end to end Project Freight Forwarding services, are KPI driven, commercially astute, have strong sales and commercial negotiation skills. You should be a highly confident professional who can network confidently, building strong longstanding relationships at the highest level within any business. You should have a solid project freight forwarding background, who can support on global, regional and local sales campaigns, tenders and customer experience.
Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills as well as being a strong team player who loves networking is essential for this role. Candidates must be based in Qatar.
